What it is
Documents are needed at the concept stage
Environmental design means preparing documents that show how a facility affects air, water and soil and which measures limit this impact. The state environmental review takes place before the business starts operating. Since 25 August 2025 the new Law “On Environmental Review, Environmental Impact Assessment and Strategic Environmental Assessment” (ZRU-1036) has been in force, and Cabinet Resolution No. 234 of 11.05.2026 introduced new assessment mechanisms. We work under the updated rules.
- The rules have changed
- The review may send back documents made with old templates.
- Category
- First we check which category the facility belongs to and which procedure applies.
- Until the conclusion
- We support the materials until the review conclusion is issued.
Categories
The scope depends on the facility category
The category is set by the list of activities approved by the Cabinet of Ministers. If a site has several facilities of different categories, the impact is assessed by the highest one.
Categories I and II (high and medium impact)
- Full impact assessment cycle
- Preparing and holding public hearings
- Submitting materials and responding to reviewers
- Supporting the review until the conclusion
Category III (low impact)
- Preparing materials in the required scope
- Submission for review
- Responding to comments
- Obtaining the conclusion
