About the course

Lifting safety depends on three people at once

Lifting and moving loads is high-risk work. Safety here depends on the crane operator, the slinger and the engineer responsible for the crane’s condition. We train all three. Training follows the Rules for the design and safe operation of cranes and includes practice on equipment.

Crane operators
Crane design and controls, safety devices, hand signals, actions when mechanisms fail.
Slingers
Attaching, rigging and moving loads, selecting and rejecting slings, signals to the operator.
Responsible persons
Monitoring technical condition, inspections, passports and logs.
